Urinetown Auditions
Auditions for Urinetown: the Musical, February 21-22 at 7-9PM. Be prepared to sing a song and please have track ready as no accompanist is available.
Urinetown: The Musical is a satirical comedy set in a dystopia where a 20-year drought has forced the government to ban private toilets, requiring citizens to pay to pee at amenities managed by a corrupt corporation.
Bobby Strong (Tenor): The dashing, rebellious everyman assistant-custodian who starts a revolution.
Hope Cladwell (Soprano): Cladwell's daughter, naive to the harsh realities of the town, who falls for Bobby.
Officer Lockstock (Baritone): The corrupt, tongue-in-cheek narrator and police officer who guides the audience.
Penelope Pennywise (Soprano): The tough, jaded warden of Public Amenity #9; holds a secret about her past.
Little Sally (Mezzo-Soprano): A precocious, poor street urchin who often questions the play's logic alongside Lockstock.
Caldwell B. Cladwell (Baritone/Bass): The villainous, wealthy CEO of Urine Good Company.
Officer Barrel (Baritone): Lockstock’s clumsy partner-in-crime.
Supporting Roles & Rich/Poor:
Senator Fipp: A corrupt politician in Cladwell’s pocket.
Mr. McQueen: Cladwell's obsequious assistant.
Soupy Sue & Tiny Tom: Poor, hungry citizens, part of the rebellion.
Hot Blades Harry & Becky Two Shoes: Tough, rebellious members of the poor community.
Old Man Strong: Bobby’s father, whose arrest kicks off the revolution.
Ensemble and supporting roles will likely be double cast due to the size of the stage.
