The Woman in Black
1505 State Street, Erie PA 16501
The framework of this spine tingler is unusual: a lawyer hires an actor to tutor him in recounting to family and friends a story that has long troubled him concerning events that transpired when he attended the funeral of an elderly recluse. There he caught sight of the woman in black, the mere mention of whom terrifies the locals, for she is a specter who haunts the neighborhood where her illegitimate child was accidentally killed. Anyone who sees her dies! The lawyer has invited some friends to watch as he and the actor recreate the events of that dark and stormy night. A classic of the genre.

Pippin
1505 State Street, Erie PA 16501
With an infectiously unforgettable score from four-time Grammy winner, three-time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant, Stephen Schwartz, Pippin is the story of one young man's journey to be extraordinary. Winner of four 2013 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, this updated circus-inspired version of Pippin continues to captivate and appeal to the young at heart throughout the world.Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.Equally poignant as a black box production or as a splashy, spectacle-driven extravaganza, Pippin's message is universal and will connect with audiences across the age spectrum.

PACA's logo represents five basic fields of art: theater, music, visual arts, prose, and dance, all working together in the same shared space.
The squares are rounded to indicate a less rigid ideological fixation on the definition of art.
They rotate around each other (technically it's envisioned as three dimensional) and in movement. Each art form harmoniously working with and rising from each other.
PACA is an alliance of artists. We have over 50 individual artists who create in our 70,000 sq ft building. All different. All into their own vision. But all sharing common space.
We aim to improve our community through space making, engagement, inclusion, economic viability and sustainable partnerships.
Your donation to PACA for Erie Gives 2024 will help support our most exciting and ambitious upcoming theatre season that includes three musicals, two Youth Theater productions, comedies, dramas, classics and new works. -

Getting Out
Getting OutPACA Theatre, 1505 State Street, Floor 2, Erie, Pennsylvania 16501
Arlene Horsclaw is out of prison, paroled after spending eight years following a murder conviction. Her eight years did not go easy, and Arlene spent much of her time in solitary confinement. As Arlene tries to adjust to life on the outside, memories of her criminal past "Arlie" force their way in. She remembers a vicious and angry child who killed frogs for fun and beat up other kids. But Arlie was also brutally abused by her father, and ran away with a pimp named Carl--what she saw as her only escape. Arlene, for the first time in eight years, has choices in front of her: Will she return to Carl? Will she allow former prison guard Bennie to stay and take care of her? Will she be alone forever? Getting Out, Marsha Norman's first professional play, is inspired by the playwright's time working with juvenile offenders, and creates a stark and heartbreakingly realistic portrayal of a woman trying to start over.
