X-WR-CALDESC:Auditions for POTUS and Journey to the Poles of Inaccessibilit
y will take place Sunday July 13th and Monday July 14th promptly at 6PM. P
lease plan to arrive a few minutes early to check in and complete any nece
ssary paperwork. Cold readings will be provided.\n\n\nPOTUS:\n\nOne four-l
etter word is about to rock 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. When the President u
nwittingly spins a PR nightmare into a global crisis\, the seven brilliant
and beleaguered women he relies upon most risk life\, liberty\, and the p
ursuit of sanity to keep the commander-in-chief out of trouble.\n\nSelina
Fillinger’s brilliant\, all-female farce took Broadway by storm in a star-
studded production that earned three 2022 Tony nominations.\n\nCast List:
\n\nThe Women\, in order of their emotional proximity to POTUS (closest to
farthest):\n\nHARRIET – His chief of staff.\nJEAN – His press secretary.
 \nSTEPHANIE – His secretary.\nDUSTY – His dalliance.\nBERNADETTE – His sis
 ter.\nCHRIS – A journalist.\nMARGARET – His wife. The First Lady.\n\nAutho
r’s Note on Casting:\nAmerican power structures are rooted in\, and shaped
by\, white supremacy. Racism permeates our institutions\, compounding gen
der and class inequity everywhere\, but especially in electoral politics.
This play is a critique of complicity in white patriarchy\; thus\, the fol
lowing requirements speak to those dynamics and must be followed. Internat
ional productions should analyze and reflect in their casting a similar un
derstanding of marginalized communities’ struggle for voice within their g
overning bodies.\n\nIn America: Bernadette is white. Margaret is Black. Ch
ris is Black. Jean\, Harriet\, Dusty and Stephanie can be played by actors
of any ethnicity\; but be aware that lines and relationships will land di
fferently depending on the racial breakdown of the cast. Some of the insul
ts will be more cringe\, some less\, depending on the privilege each chara
cter possesses. These are interesting dynamics to explore\, but they shoul
d be interrogated consciously\, with care for each community.\n\nAt least
three of the characters must be women of color. Actors can be cis or trans
. Age is flexible. Beauty is subjective. So long as they’re fast\, fierce\
, and fucking hilarious.\n\n\nDirected by Kate Neubert-Lechner\nPOTUS runs
  September 11\, 12\, 13\, 14\, 18\, 19\, 20\, 21\n\n\n\nJourney to the Pol
es of Inaccessibility:\n\nIndiana Jones meets Around the World in 80 Days
in this fantastical romcom! Dylan likes his safe life\, working at an insu
rance company and living with his wheelchair-bound aunt. Then he meets Chr
is\, a young woman of boundless energy\, who’s convinced magic is real and
the last of it may be found at the world’s most remote places\, the Poles
of Inaccessibility. Fate intervenes and Dylan must circle the globe with
Chris on an epic journey of discovery\, comedy\, danger\, and love.\n\nCa
